ZwickRoell USA will display state-of-the-art solutions for plastics testing at the 2018 Advance Design & Manufacturing Expo - Expoplast to be held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal November 14-15.
The event will highlight best practices and new techniques in plastics manufacturing, from injection molding and automation to best uses for molds and dyes. Visitors to booth 908 will have an opportunity to demo testing solutions used in the characterization of raw materials as well as plastic products and components.
ZwickRoell USA will exhibit the modular, expandable Mflow system. The basic version of the Mflow system supports MFR testing to Method A, while the expanded version enables MVR testing to Method B. Additional features include a pneumatic weight lifting unit with pegging, which allows the operator to quickly and easily change test weights, and easy cleaning with rapid expulsion of residual specimen material.
In addition, the exhibit will feature the compact, single-column zwickiLine, perfect for plastics applications that involve determining tensile and compression values. From research and development to quality assurance testing, the zwickiLine is customizable to accommodate any required accessories, offering fast and convenient testing for test loads up to 5 kN.
“With over 160 years of materials testing experience, one of ZwickRoell’s strengths is in the characterization of molding materials according to a variety of ISO standards,” said Florian Liebert, managing director ZwickRoell USA. “Our solutions also address product and components testing such as plastic films and packaging, plastic pipes, and foams.”
Experts will be on hand to offer demonstrations of testXpert III measurement and control software. testXpert III software runs on the entire range of ZwickRoell testing systems, offering a single platform for needs that span melt flow and impact to tensile, bend and compression testing. testXpert III software also incorporates user management features that present different access rights for various users, reducing the potential for errors. Additionally, it supports data export to a proprietary database, ERP or LIMS system, which is essential for key business processes such as the release of production batches for outbound shipment.
